A Canadian with Italian origins, a saxophonist with exceptional qualities, greatly appreciated soloist in the jazz scene, a highly esteemed professional at international levels and extraordinary teacher, ROBERT BONISOLO studied music at Berklee College of Music and The Banff School of Fine Arts. In 1987 he won the “Canadian Rising Star Award” and the “American Rising Star Award”.

Upon arriving in Italy in 1990 he began to study classical saxophone.
He obtained his five year classical “diploma” from the Conservatory of Ferrara.
Another aspect which makes him special is the ability to transmit his knowledge and experience, through his personal approach of teaching music to the students, of the numerous schools and/or clinics he gives.
Since 2003 he has been Professor of saxophone and improvisation at the school Centro Didattico Musicale Teatro Danza di Rovereto (TN) - Italy.
Since 2006 he has been Professor of saxophone and improvisation at HEMU University of Music in Switzerland and the International Saxophone Festival in Faenza (Ravenna - Italy).
